Getting good sleep means you’re well rested, alert and less stressed. All this points towards making great decisions and you want to make great decisions right? Well here are my tips to help you sleep better.
It’s been proven that sleeping on your side is more comfortable and a more natural position for your body. So when you are moving around go to your side.
Drink sufficient water because as you are resting your body needs to digest and work through all those toxins. Not drinking enough can mean a bad nights sleep.
Get yourself an automatic LED light that turns on just before your alarm. I have an LIFX light that comes on in the morning to emulate the sun coming up. It also goes off at night to simulate the sun going down.
Don’t use devices 1 hour before sleep. Easier said than done. I find myself guilty of this but the light coming in to your eyes misleads your brain and that can effect your sleep.
Get yourself tired during the day by exercising or moving about. E.g. Don’t sit inside all day game or watch Netflix.
Try breathing exercises to relax your mind before you go to sleep.
Have regular sleeping patterns and go to bed at the same time everyday and wake up at the same time. This goes for weekends as well.
That’s it no more, you should be right from here and get a good nights sleep.
